Book Review, โ€œWith this manโ€ by Jodi Ellen Malpas ๐Ÿ“š

So! It came to my attention recently that I have never actually written any book reviews for the book series “This Man”… Which I thought was god damned strange since I have read the previous 3 and LOVED them all <3. Now, I have just read the 4th and last instalment in this book series and have decided I am going to give my review on this last book AND leave stars for all 4 books at the end, just so you all know what I rate the series as a whole for each book… I think that makes up for not reviewing each individually :(. So! Here goes! My review on Jodi Ellen Malpas’s recent book: With this Man.

Life is good for Jesse “The Lord” Ward. Perfect, actually. He still has the charm, he’s in great shape, and he still reduces his wife, Ava, to a pool of desire with a mere look. He’s in full control, just how he likes it.

But Jesse’s perfect world falls apart when a terrible accident lands Ava in the hospital with a life-threatening head injury. Devastated and angry, he feels like his entire existence hangs in the balance. He cannot survive without this woman’s love. So when she finally comes around, his shaking world begins to level out. But his nightmare doesn’t end there. It’s only just begun. Because his wife can’t remember the last sixteen years of her life. That’s all of him. All of their time together. He is a stranger to her.

Now Jesse must do whatever it takes to find her memories . . . and help her fall madly, passionately in love with him all over again.

I’ll admit it, out of all 4 books, this is my favourite. By far!!! :D. The storyline to this book absolutely flawed me from beginning to end and I was completely sucked back into Ava and Jesse’s story. The pair make such a good read it’s awesome :). This book had a lot of twists and turns for me but all good! The plot line with Lauren, Jesse’s psycho ex wife, was brilliant! Truly brilliant! But, I knew “Zara” had a hidden agenda :). The whole idea of Ava losing all her memories of Jesse actually scared me for I live their love story. I think I was as adamant as Jesse was to make her remember him and their family. In my eyes Ava isn’t Ava without Jesse and vice versa.

The ending chapters had me an emotional mess and without giving anything away I’ll put it like this: Absolute shock, laughter, tears and then joy! I think if anyone reading this review has read this book they’ll 100% understand why I felt like that. Such a turn of events!! I love this book, a lot!!!

So Jodi (if you’re ever reading this ๐Ÿ™ˆ) you’ve ended Ava and Jesse’s story perfectly for me. Wonderfully in fact! โ™ฅ๏ธ. Awesome job :).

Book 1: 4.5/5โญ

Book 2: 5/5โญ

Book 1: 5/5โญ

  1. I have a really big question, does Jesse get blind at the end?? Because at the end he says that the only sense that he doesnโ€™t had is his vision, that part I didnโ€™t understand. Thankssss

    1. I think he’s referring to the fact that him and ava are kissing so his eyes are closed but he can still sense everyone around him, like their presence, faces and love. He can like feel them around him all the time so he doesn’t need his eyes open to see them :). Hope this helps! x

      1. Yeahhh I thought that too!! Like I just finished reading it, I read that part a thousand times to understand it๐Ÿ˜‚ thank you so much!!!
