Book review time!!! :D, again ;).
I am going to tell you the exact date that I received my email from Tia, it was September 12, 2017. I received an email that first of all, said such wonderful things about my blog, I was honestly shook with how nice this lady was being towards me and my writing. And, I was then asked if I would then like to review this lovely ladies book, so of course, I said yes :D. Tia came across in her emails as such a lovely, down to earth, inspiring lady and that was just in an email! So I can only imagine what she’s like in real life. But, not long after emailing back and forth I received her book, Everything and a Happy Ending.
A memoir about 3 interconnected relationships & 3 special men in my life. The fact that you’re reading this makes me happy. Maybe you’ve mistaken this for a how to give a good happy ending sexual self-help book. Maybe you’re reading because you have a genuine interest in another’s journey. Either way, Im good. My journey almost destroyed me. Almost. Boy, have I come to like that word. What a pleasurable word almost can be. You may almost be ready to buy my book. You may almost be ready to begin an amazing new journey of your own. You may almost be over that rainbow Judy Garland sings about. What great potential almost can hold, if you can flip your way of thinking. Just imagine controlled pessimism, doubt, and fear flipped into blind optimism, faith, and love.
Tia’s story is absolutely incredible! It isn’t always easy for people to write down on paper what happens in their daily life and what struggles they go threw, let alone publish them! That alone is something I credit Tia for! She is incredibly brave to have done something so invasive. And the fact she wants to share these struggles, just proves again she is a good person for she feels it could help anyone reading.
Some people enjoy emotional memoirs and if you do this is one for you. Tia talks of divorce, unhappiness, and unfulfilling love all within the spirits of 3 different men but who in their own ways interlink in a way you couldn’t imagine, and neither could Tia. There are so many experiences in this book that I feel people could relate too and in some way turn that experience into their own and then slowly begin to deal with it? I found it a sort of self-help book so I’m sure anyone struggling with those issues would too.
Tia encourages self love a lot through-out this read, which I think is the main reasons people may deal with divorce, unhappiness and unfulfilling love, no self love. And I personally feel anyone dealing with; family loss, relationship issues, job issues or even the loss of a friend, could read this book and draw a lot of self love/respect for themselves through Tia’s writing. which in my eyes makes this book so lovely.
I want to thank Tia for offering to send me this book, it was a lovely read and I would rate it a good 8-8.5/10 :D. And thank you again, for saying such lovely things about my blog. You can grab your copy here; amazon.
With love, Charlotte x
