Short Historical facts with me, Charlotte πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ’»

fact no.7

The history of Valentine’s Day is obscure and rather clouded by various legends. The holiday’s roots are in the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, which initially is a fertility celebration that commemorated annually on February 15. Pope Gelasius I however, recast this pagan festival as a Christian feast day and declared February 14 to be St. Valentine’s Day.

So there’s a brief history on how Valentines came about! :D, but, I just want to wish everyone a very happy valentines day!Β Single or taken, enjoy your day like you would any other because initially that is all it is :’) but still, enjoy it either way! ❀

Also, I would just like to say happy valentines day to my buba Paul, our first of many maaaaany more together, I love you to absolute pieces πŸ™‚ <3.

With love, Charlotte x
