So, 457 years ago today, Queen Elizabeth 1st was crowned at Westminster abbey, London! She is one of the greatest monarchs to ever rule England & was daughter to King Henry VIII & Queen Anne Boleyn, my most favourite historical “couple”.
Elizabeth is described as “the son her father never had” since she had Henry’s fire and passion for their kingdom and, obviously she gained his hair colouring. But not all her fire and passion came just from her father, her mother Anne was known for voicing her opinions in court and she never went unnoticed. She gained her brilliance from both her parents, who we now have to thank for this brilliant ruler, The Virgin Queen, 1533-1603. 🌹❤️❤️
I’ve decided, as of today, that I will start doing little historical pieces like this on my here, as I feel I need to get my historical passions (as well as the others you have seen me blog about) across much more since history is a huge part of my life and I want to share what with you guys! So, keep an eye out for these little historical facts from now on.
With love, Charlotte x
